I appreciate your candour. My writing often hinges on sharp, candid observations of the world around me, and I certainly hold the belief that such observations, however stark, are a valid part of descriptive storytelling. I do agree, however, that the comment in question jarred the narrative flow for some readers and detracted from the core purpose of the piece — which is to share an engaging travel story. I have edited the text to smooth that transition. Thank you for the structural feedback, it is genuinely valued.

I was interested as considering a visit. I was enjoying your story until the off-putting comment about the women. True? Maybe in your eyes. Necessary? Not at all. Kind? Not in the least and incredibly sexist. This does not belong in such a review.

Thanks for taking the time to give us your feedback! It's good to have an American counterpoint to our admittedly scattergun European impressions.

I spent ten days in Panama City and had a wonderful time. My costs, relative to the U.S. city I lived in, were considerably less. From your review, it seems Boquette, David and Coronado didn't agree with you. The plumbing worked fine in the two bedroom Airbnb with queen sized beds and air conditioning. The food was delicious in Panama City, and I came in under budget for my ten day stay. The Pensionado Visa is one of the best in the world. As far as the "big bottom " women you speak of, I saw an incredible blend of healthy Panamanian, Venezuelan, and Colombian women in Panama City. The international airport is great, although the airport bathrooms are awful. I guess if you're looking for negativity you can find it. For me, Panama City is worth another visit in August 2025.
