Seaside Boutique, Panglao in the Philippines

Tags :

We chose the Seaside Boutique for our second stay in Panglao, and we’re very happy we did (€27 per night including breakfast).

This guesthouse is located on the opposite side of the island from Alona and other popular spots. We were made very welcome into this family home, with our bedroom and private bathroom, and use of a picturesque covered upper terrace to relax and take our meals.

Seaside Boutique – Excellent Cuisine

Speaking of food, at the Seaside Boutique our host created for us by far the best food we ate in the Philippines. We enjoyed a variety of delicious and thoughtfully prepared dishes (3-course dinners). Apart from lunch, we didn’t consider eating anywhere else.

This made a welcome change from the bland food we experienced everywhere else in the Philippines

To get around, we had the option to rent a motorbike from the guesthouse for 500 pesos per day, but there is a very luxurious resort – The Panglao Nature Resort – within easy walking distance (3 km).

Update July 2020: Unfortunately, the Seaside Boutique no longer seems to be in business. However, if you’re looking for somewhere special in this area of Panglao, try the Panglao Island Nature Resort. It’s a little more expensive, but you won’t be disappointed.

This is really helpful! I wanted to visit Bohol but we’re still saving up to finish the destinations here in Luzon first. But I’ll keep this blog post in mind, in case we have enough money to travel to Bohol.
